VLADAN BJELANOVIC
My name is Vladan Bjelanović, and I came to the University of Siena as a Double Degree student from the University of Ljubljana, completing my second year and writing my thesis there under the guidance of Professor Curatola, whose patient and dedicated mentorship was instrumental in shaping both my research and my thinking.
What struck me most about the program, beyond its academic rigor, was the genuinely personal approach of the faculty. In a life spent in education across different countries and institutions, it is rare to find professors who truly see their students as individuals, recognizing potential and actively nurturing it.
That foundation proved immediately valuable upon graduation. I joined the Central Bank of Montenegro as a Research and Statistics Advisor, standing out in a competitive selection process among a large pool of applicants, which is a result I credit directly to the strong analytical and technical skills built in Siena.
The program has continued to open doors. I have recently been selected as one of 14 PhD students in Economics at IMT Lucca, out of more than 600 applicants, a recognition that reflects the depth of preparation the Master's in Finance provided.
For anyone considering this path, the University of Siena offers more than technical expertise — it equips you to compete at the highest level, wherever that may take you.
